Paper Mountain Films is an award-winning documentary production company founded by filmmakers Daire Collins and James O’Brien Moran.

Daire began his career as a multimedia journalist with Channel 4 News, BBC, HuffPost, AJ+ and others before moving into creative documentary. He directed For Emergency Use Only for The New Yorker, and is currently in production on The Fool or the Holyman, a Swiss–Irish co-production funded by Screen Ireland.

James worked in advertising as both director and producer before making his first short film, Fred’s Last Show, an award-winning documentary that screened at festivals worldwide.

Our debut film, Beo Faoin bhFód, defined our approach: character-led storytelling with a strong visual identity, and a curiosity for the unusual corners of both contemporary and historical life.

Based in Dublin and working internationally, Paper Mountain creates films that are thoughtful, accessible, and built to resonate long after the credits roll.
