Silver Sisterhood

Feature Documentary In Development

Tucked away at the end of a winding boreen in rural Ireland stood a small Victorian house that once held a secret world. Inside it lived a self made community of women who called themselves The Silver Sisterhood. They sewed dresses by lamplight, wrote fantasy novels under borrowed names, and constructed a life that was part devotion, part performance, and part escape. To neighbours, they were harmless oddities. To those who left, the truth was far harder to define.

This documentary traces the lingering echoes of that house and the women who passed through it. Through first-person accounts, bespoke animation, and journeys back to the ruins of their self-made world, The Silver Sisterhood explores how people craft identities to survive and what happens when the myth becomes the trap.
